Shipping guide – rest of the world

Customer will be quoted a specific delivery promise at the time of checkout that is based on the destination country and the shipping methods available for the items in your shopping cart. The seller is always responsible for shipping an item to a buyer. If you’re using a shipping or fulfilment service, please keep in mind that you are ultimately responsible for making sure that your buyers receive their orders.

How much does international shipping cost?

International shipping is calculated based on a number of factors including the desired service level (Standard/Express), the number of items being purchased, the weight of the items and the destination country. International shipping will be calculated and guaranteed during the international checkout based on the items you are purchasing and your shipping destination.

You have the option of pre-paying duties and taxes at the time of purchase (more expensive) or upon delivery (less expensive). We’ve found that most customers prefer to pre-pay these fees to avoid the hassle of arranging for payment before the package is released to them or their gift recipient.

Which shipping carriers do you use for international shipping?

We primarily use UPS for Express orders or sellers preferred international carrier, and Standard orders will typically arrive by a local carrier (i.e. Canada Post, HKpost, USPS).

Are there any items that cannot ship to my country because they are restricted?

If for any reason, there are any items that cannot be exported from and/or imported into your country, you will be notified during the checkout process. Items that are restricted include food, seeds, some glassware, fragile items, and large, bulky items.

Do you ship furniture or other large items internationally?

International shipping restrictions prevent us from being able to ship over-sized items to some countries. Restricted items will be noted during the international checkout process.

Seller how to set shipping costs on your items?

  1. When listing an item for sale, tap Delivery and swipe Shipping
  2. Seller should input the ship out address, Domestic and/or International to designate where you ship. International shipping is more expensive, but offering it also increases your audience and improves chances of selling.
  3. For free shipping, just select the shipping method of your screen
  4. To charge the buyer for shipping enter your shipping price. If you ship worldwide set one price for worldwide or use the default update shipping rate for reference.

Remember you will need to purchase packaging so take this into consideration when thinking about what you want to charge the buyer for shipping.
